Mo Siegel

Mo is one of Colorado’s original natural foods pioneers and the co-founder of Celestial Seasonings, the Boulder tea company that helped introduce herbal tea to mainstream American consumers. Celestial Seasonings began in 1969, when Mo and early collaborators gathered wild herbs in the Rocky Mountains and turned them into teas sold to local health food stores. 

By building Celestial Seasonings into a nationally recognized brand, Mo helped define Boulder as a center of natural products innovation long before the industry had fully emerged. His work showed that products rooted in wellness, nature and creativity could reach a broad audience, helping lay the foundation for the thriving Colorado natural foods ecosystem that exists today.
