Learn how to recruit students and structure a successful remote internship, optimized for this pandemic, with staff from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder. This Zoom meeting will include guided exercises and networking.

Stan Hickory, Manager of Internships and Workforce Readiness at Leeds School of Business, CU Boulder Stan Hickory is the Manager of Internships and Workforce Readiness. Stan joined the team at Leeds in 2020. He comes from a 20+ year career in K-12 education. Stan’s most recent role was as the Assistant Director at a Big Picture School where he developed a new school model focused on business and entrepreneurship studies through experiential and problem based learning.

Stan has published articles, presented nationally, and facilitated multiple professional development workshops in Problem Based learning, Design Thinking and other educational pedagogies. Stan has experience in the non-profit and for-profit world as well. Stan has founded and managed three companies: home remodeling, adventure travel, and an educational travel non-profit. Stan is skilled as a project manager, leader, collaborator, and communicator. He has a BA from the University of Iowa in English and Education, and a Masters from Colorado University in Administration and Leadership Policy.

Stan is excited to be the Manager of Internships and Workforce Readiness. In this role he will connect Leeds students and Businesses through experiential learning opportunities. Stan will also manage the Trailhead learning system on the Salesforce platform for our Leeds students.

Angie Vermillion, Senior Manager of Employer Engagement at Leeds School of Business, CU Boulder Angie serves as the Senior Manager of Employer Engagement in the Leeds Office of Career Strategy. She joined the Employer Relations in 2018 team to help identify opportunities in the Finance and Accounting industries. She has since transitioned to her current role of cultivating relationships with employers specific to Marketing & Sales. Angie is passionate about creating meaningful connections for employers to engage with Leeds students and building collaborative relationships where employers can build their pipeline of candidates with Leeds students.

Prior to Leeds, Angie worked in the social impact and non-profit space. She has over 12 years of experience focusing on business development, relationship management, and event operations.

Catherine Erickson, Assistant Director, Graduate Career Management at Leeds School of Business, CU Boulder Catherine started at CU Boulder in 2018 with the Office of Advancement and transitioned to Graduate Career Management since 2019. Prior to CU and the Leeds School of Business Catherine worked in professional recruitment, supply chain, the medical field, and a few other endeavors. She has a passion for helping people discover their value, and for helping communicate that value to prospective employers. Catherine holds a BS from Michigan State and an MBA from Colorado State.


HOW DO ONLINE EVENTS WORK?

Participants will be able to see and hear the presenters, but participants’ cameras won’t be on, and their mics will be muted. Participants will be able to communicate with each other using the Chat box and type questions to our featured panelists via the Q&A box.

The Zoom app is also available for your smartphone. Note that the quality of the Webinar will fluctuate both based on your internet connection and that of the presenters.
