Jeff Yorzyk – Director of Sustainability, GreenChef
Having lived in Colorado since 1994, Jeff is a reformed sustainability consultant and nonprofit leader bringing it all together for one company in what he calls his “dream job.” Sustainability at Green Chef means looking at the business end-to-end and identifying sustainable business practices that move the entire value chain forward, from expanding organics supply to coaching customers on how to recycle packaging. Jeff works with the procurement and research teams to define sustainability in meal kit packaging.
Brooke Anderson – Rocky Mountain Regional Sales Manager, Eco-Products
Brooke has been with Eco-Products since early 2017 and previously held roles in corporate sustainability and corporate executive experiential learning. She also currently volunteers with local nonprofit organizations Ocean First Institute and the Colorado Association for Recycling. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, she has lived in various places from Portland, Oregon to France, and found her way to Boulder with her husband in 2015. Since moving to CO, she has done her best to become a downhill and cross-country skier, but especially enjoys running with her two dogs on the South Boulder trails.
Matt Murray – CoFounder, Stardust Sustainables
Matt graduated in 2011 from Virginia Tech with a degree in business marketing and management. He migrated out west in search of powder and eventually ended up on the front range for a paycheck. After working in the corporate atmosphere in sales for 5+ years he started a marketing agency which he ran from the road in his 1987 VW Westfalia. The travel bug then landed him in SE Asia where he worked with a group of entrepreneurs for 6 months and was inspired to create a positive impact in the U.S. Stardust Sustainables was born last fall and Matt is currently working to address the plastic crisis we are facing on the planet. He hopes that is just one channel that creates a ripple and inspires others to create change, pursue their dreams and have fun along the way.
Mel Gilles – Commercial Sector Sustainability Manager, Eco-Cycle
Mel works with Eco-Cycle, one of the oldest and largest recycling non-profits in the country. She helps local and national corporations refine their waste diversion programs on the road to Zero Waste and trains employees in businesses of every size on recycling, composting and hard to recycle sorting and collection systems. With over thirty year’s experience on the front lines of recycling and having run her own businesses and social enterprises, she is a unique expert on making the world of waste diversion efficient, practical and easy to navigate.
