Catherine Hutziker

Catherine is the longtime owner, master herbalist and chief formulator behind WishGarden Herbs, a Colorado-born herbal remedies company known for making plant-based wellness more approachable and accessible. Her path began in the environmental and women’s rights movements of the 1970s, eventually leading her to Colorado, where she deepened her study of herbalism and plant medicine under respected teachers and traditions.

Through WishGarden, Catherine helped bring herbal remedies out of the margins and into the everyday wellness conversation, developing multi-herb liquid formulas designed to be effective, easy to use and relatable for modern consumers. Her work has contributed to Colorado’s reputation as a hub for mission-driven natural products brands rooted in integrity, efficacy and respect for traditional plant wisdom. She is now running The HerbiCulture Project, a nonprofit organization with the mission of supporting and empowering farmers to grow regenerative herbal crops domestically to help increase farmer revenue and soil regeneration.

What excites me about Naturally Colorado today is its focus on purpose-driven leadership and conscious business practices. As this industry continues to grow, we have to stay connected to the values that started it — sustainability, integrity, and the triple bottom line. My hope for the next 20 years is that those values are built into the structure of companies themselves, from ownership to boards of directors, even to the point of recognizing nature as a board member.”
